"Journey" to Greenville

Sam and I rode on to Greenville, SC on Saturday and were as surprised by its downtown as our fans were of our random giveaways. There were a bunch of great things to see in the city, including a lot of fountains like the one at the beginning. We were handing out a ton of CW and as we walked we discovered some new hot spots and were given some tips about a few others. One of my favorites that we came across was Falls Park, a really sweet park with a lot of, well, waterfalls. The coolest thing was that it was right in the middle of the city. Here are a great view of an old tree's roots and of the "dog whisperer": a guy who entertained everybody's dogs around the base of one of the falls.

After a quick break in town to watch some World Cup action we went to do some re-icing and found a church outside having a food/bake sale. We thought we'd offered up some Cheerwine for them to sell. They were so grateful and so willing to get together for a picture that we just have to say thanks to Victory Temple Church. It definitely helped make our day.

Good karma found us again in the same parking lot. Someone handed Sam a flyer for the Highland Games Scottish Festival going on at Furman University and off we went. It cost a little bit of money but a couple Cheerwine for the ticket ladies seemed to be enough for a free pass. Unfortunately we missed the games part but the whole thing was still an awesome experience. Gotta love the outfits.

The pictures here weren't even enough to show you all the stuff we did and all the small town girls and city boys we met but it'll have to do for now. I promise, we've got plenty more where that came from. The zagging never ends...it goes on and on and on and on

Steve

P.S. Anybody know what song I was quoting?
